Chrysalis, by Rita Chen, with music by Mate Satalich, follows two friends on a failed butterfly hunt when their friendship is only growing weaker.
With a serious theme, but scenes that delve into dream-like states, this short was a fun balance of realistic Foley recording and backgrounds, and effects altered to a surreal state. My work included editing two different voice recording qualities into a similar space, compiling and mixing the music with the sound, and preparing the final edit for a lovely re-recording mixer, Daniel Eaton.
